Hi guys, I know it's been a while since I've updated my gallery, and I'm sure many of you have long forgotten who I am, so here's a short re-introduction: I'm Noor, and I'm an illustrator that's specialized in comic book pencil art up until now!

Many of you probably know me for my comic book art, which is still a huge part of my portfolio, in fact, I've been working with a great writer on a comic book series that we're pushing to get released this year! So please stay tuned for that, if you liked some of my sequential work.

In the meantime, I thought I'd update you guys on some my recent artistic pursuits, most of which revolves around my exploration of painting -- digital painting to be exact.

Over the past year and a half, on top of finishing my undergraduate career and snagging a degree in graphic design, I've spent what little time I've had between school and freelance work to learn how to incorporate value and color into my art through digital painting, and I must say: the process has been tremendously enlightening, and has included some of the most fun I've had in a long time! I'm really excited to share with you all some of the stuff I've been able to cook up, and can't wait to show you all some more stuff that's in the works. I hope you all will join me in this process of artistic growth!

As a means to share my work with more people through the amazing social media outlets available today, I've recently also created a facebook artist's page for myself. Been exploring digital painting/concept art as of late. Stay tuned!

Hello everyone, I know it's been a long time since you've seen any activity from me. I've been busy with the usual: course work, independent artwork, but most importantly, in latest news: I've officially gone PRO!!! Or semi-pro, for that matter...lol I am now a small-time penciller for the comicbook studio-for-hire called 'Pencils2Post'!!!

Though I'm currently already working on a project with titled "Blind Faith," (the character designs for which many of you have already seen, and for those of you who haven't, feel free to check it out at my 'Pencils' gallery here:noorrahman.deviantart.com/gall…) my earliest time I'll be available to work on a full project (interior work) is early June, so for those of you who would like to work with me on a comic project, that's the time I'll be available.

On that note, I'd like to let you guys know that as my courses are coming to an end (May 25th to be exact), I'll have more time to work on my independent art projects over the summer! I have a bunch of projects and things I wanna try out, but of particular note: I'm planning on starting to take commissions here on DA! I'll have more detailed information about commissions once summer rolls along, but I plan on being flexible with prices (considering I'm just starting lol) =]

So that's about it for me: school, part time studio work, and commissions over the summer. I plan on showing off more art soon, so stay tuned, and thanks for all the support!

It seems as my work is gaining more and more exposure, various artists have come to me to ink some of my pieces, and that thrills the hell outa me! First of all, I'm very grateful to any and all of you who feel my work is worth your time to work on (which can often be many [many] hours)... I just want you guys to know that it means a lot to me, and I'm very grateful for your efforts. My goal is (hopefully)to one day become a comic book penciller, but I'd like nothing more to help out fellow artists get into the industry as well. So if your an inker, and feel any of my work is worth your time, or even inspires you, go right ahead an try it out! But definitely send me a note or a message letting me see the final product, not just to credit me, but also so I can credit you for taking the time to ink it, and hopefully get you some exposure as well! (And also because I enjoy seeing how other artists interpret my work =]) So I just wanted to kinda put that out there, and express my gratitude to all you potential inkers out there. So as some of you may have noticed (or maybe no one), I've uploaded some of my pencilled sequential art (for those of you haven't seen it, here's a link for ya: fav.me/d4fpqi2). I'll be focusing on these short sequential pieces for the next few months in preparation for the 2012 NYC Comic Con. I know it's a ways away, but the sooner I start focusing on what editors are looking for, the better I will be when the event takes place. So I just wanted to put that out there... So for those of you who have me on their watch, please: take a look, comment (I love all the favoriting of my work, but comments and critiques are invaluable, and really what will help me the most), critique, and if you REALLY like my work: spread the word!
